Bear Dance Ranch
“Discover All That’s Beautiful” and Where “Hope Is Alive”
What is Bear Dance Ranch? …. Lots of things!
We live in a beautiful place, next to national forest and a Colorado state park with a recreational lake near Durango and want to share it! We open our ranch to those that want to experience ranch life and we very much enjoy meeting interesting people from all over the world!
We invite you to stay in a 1400 square foot cabin soon to be ready or you may park your RV’s / Campers on the ranch and even bring your horses. It’s relaxed and peaceful – next to the creek.
For children in our surrounding communities, we offer children’s programs that include: arts and crafts, horse/human connection, caring for the ranch animals, planting in the greenhouse, as well as singing and group discussion time.
Horse / Child Connection is a true passion of mine. Children learn life lessons through horses. They learn about respect, integrity, mindfulness and compassion, leadership and gain self-confidence. We offer horse connection courses and programs and hope to offer special programs for children with special needs in the near future.
Bear Dance Ranch.ORG – Children in Crisis touch many of our hearts, because they are so vulnerable and look to others for their care, their nurturing and learning about the world and themselves. Sometimes the world has not treated them well and we want them to know that they are amazingly special and give them support and be a positive influence in their lives.
My husband and I get a true sense of joy teaching, singing, and having fun with children and just being there for them and we will continue to bring programs to children in need at the ranch.
I received my certificate in Christian Counseling through the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and volunteered at the Pregnancy Resource Center in the Roaring Fork Valley area. I have a BA in Communications Studies, focusing on family communication. I have enjoyed being involved in VBS and music programs with children’s ministries throughout the years. My husband has been a co-director in the children’s programs for 5 years and loves being a “kid” with the kids! He has been a leader in the successful Celebrate Recovery Program as well. He currently is a deputy and has extensive training in solar systems and efficient energy solutions. Now it’s time to devote our land, our lives and our love to children that need it the most! Please join us along the way…
